Jagannivas Das earned his Chef’s Degree at the Culinary Institute of New York City in 1983, after having received a degree in Technical Agriculture. He then received a Masters Degree in Herbology and Homeopathy and is now a Natural Health Consultant and Ayurvedic Advisor.
He has been a culinary professional for over 26 years, specializing in international cuisine, including Indian, Italian, American, Asian, and South American, among others—in countries such as India, The U.S., England, France and Brazil.
Born in Colombia, SA, and raised internationally, Jagannivas taught culinary art for 3 years, in his native city of Cali, where he also owned his own intercontinental vegetarian restaurant—in a hands-on role, in charge of his very own kitchen. As a young child of 4, he enjoyed participating in his mother’s daily culinary classes at home. With his mother as a respected chef, Jagannivas developed a culinary sense early on in life. |
